INITIAL DIAGNOSTIC

When you drop off your computer we perform comprehensive diagnostics that tell us what problems the unit is exhibiting. This service allows us to assess the full scope of the problem to give our customers an accurate estimate of repair.

ANNUAL CHECKUP

Do you like it when your computer performs at its peak? So do we. With our Annual Checkup we ensure that your unit is always functioning just like it was new. Its like the seasonal HVAC service, but for your computer. We clean it up, remove any unnecessary junk, and get it back up to "speed" (see what we did there).

DATA BACKUP

All the photos of your Uncle Bob can be saved to an external physical drive and in the cloud, that way your Aunt Grace is ensured his devious smile is saved for posterity regardless of fire, flood, or other misfortune.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

You know what's the worst? Opening your laptop to see your battery show a charge of 17% then mere minutes later have it shut down.
We can definitely fix that. We use OEM (or in certain cases OEM spec) batteries to ensure optimum performance.

SPECIALIZED REPAIR

We offer repairs and upgrades to a variety of Apple® computers. Schedule your initial diagnostic service today!

HARD DRIVE UPGRADE/REPLACEMENT

We can replace a hard drive, upgrade to a solid state drive, replace a hard drive with a solid state drive and a hard drive backup, upgrade to a solid state drive with a hard drive backup, or literally anything you want to do with a computer that has a storage drive (which is every computer ever made). It's simply a smorgasbord of storage.

ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Small but mighty

Our goal is to provide our customers with solutions for their Apple computer needs, whether it's a repair, a purchase, or a simple operating system update. We use specialized Apple® training and knowledge, industry standard tools and equipment, as well as OEM parts, to ensure all repairs are done right the first time. In addition, we stand by the computers that we refurbish and resell by offering warranties, giving customers peace of mind with their purchases.

We also believe in the reclamation of materials in our industry, and take great care in making sure that devices that are at the end of their life are disseminated into the proper e-waste recycling chains.

Frequently
Asked
Questions

What services do you offer?

Apple®  computer diagnostics, technical support for Apple® computers, repair of Apple® computers, and sales of new and used Apple® computers and related accessories

Why is my computer slow?
There are a number of reasons why you may be experiencing a slow down in performance with your computer. System performance depends on a number of factors, and this performance can be affected by any number of problems from a failing hard drive to a bad SMC ship on the logic board.

I know what’s wrong with my computer, why would I need the Diagnostic service?
Running diagnostics is not only a requirement of our partnership with Apple®, it is a necessary service so we can determine the proper repair strategy for your computer. This saves time and money, ensuring the correct repair is completed the first time for the stated price.

How do I backup my computer?
We recommend a backup redundancy system that includes both an online (cloud) and physical backup. iCloud is a service that Apple provides for the online storage of all your important documents. An external hard drisk drive or solid state drive is a physical storage device that keeps an exact copy of your entire system. While one of these options is better than nothing, having both in use ensures your data will be protected.

I can’t remember my passwords and I constantly have to change them, what can I do?
We recommend using password management software. Apple® has this built into their OS, called Keychain, though there are a number of equally good third party providers that offer robust password management features and functions.

When do I have to pay for the service(s)?
No money is due until your service is complete and your computer is ready for pick up

Can you come to my home and help set up my router/printer/computer?
At this time we do not offer technical support outside of our facility. Any technical support sessions are currently conducted on-site at MO Macs LLC

Do you offer a warranty on your work?
Yes, we warranty all of our products and services. More information on this can be found under the Warranty section of our website

How much does ‘X’ service cost?
While we are able to offer starting prices for our services, we are not able to offer exact cost estimates until we perform diagnostics on the computer

What payments do you accept? Do you offer payment plans?
We accept cash, business checks, and all credit/debit cards. In addition, we are setup for contactless/Touch payments (including ApplePay)

I have AppleCare®, can you fix my computer under warranty?
While we can service Apple® computers that are both in-and-out-of-warranty, we are unable to provide these services under an AppleCare plan

Do you use genuine Apple® parts?
Yes, we use genuine, OEM Apple® parts

Do you have Apple technical training?
Yes, all of our employees are Certified Apple Technicians

What is the difference between a hard disk drive and a solid state drive?
A hard disk drive is a traditional computer drive that has moving parts and writes data to a platter that stores the information. A solid state drive has no moving parts, operates cooler and quieter than an HDD, and writes data to blocks of memory for storage.

I just spilled liquid on my computer, what should I do?
If the unit is still powered on, hold down the power button for 15 seconds until the unit powers down fully. If the unit powers off on its own from the liquid exposure, DO NOT attempt to power it back on.
Open the laptop to 90°, then turn it upside town to drain any liquid that may have gotten inside. This is called ‘tenting’.

Schedule the unit for service asap.
